Membership levels

Behaviour Analyst Doctoral Level

This level of membership is for:

(a) those who hold or have held the title Board Certified Behaviour Analyst Doctoral Level,

(b) those who have completed a PhD in Behaviour Analysis, hold a relevant Masters or Bachelors Degree; have three years’ experience and a recommendation from a full member, or two thousand hours of supervised behaviour analytic experience.

Behaviour Analyst

This level of membership is for:

(a) those who hold or have held the title Board Certified Behaviour Analyst, or

(b) those who hold a relevant Masters Degree and have three years’ experience and a recommendation from a full member, or two thousand hours of supervised behaviour analytic experience.

Masters in Behaviour Analysis

This membership level is for MSc graduates who were not eligible to sit the BCBA exam by 1st January 2023.  Person’s applying under this membership level continue to require supervision from a Behaviour Analyst or a Behaviour Analyst Doctoral Level and must name their supervisor and list their current accrued number of supervision hours.

Assistant Behaviour Analyst

This level of membership is for:

(a) those who hold or have held the title Board Certified Assistant Behaviour Analyst, or

(b) those who have completed the Verified Course Sequence Bachelors Degree in Behaviour Analysis and have three years experience and a recommendation from a full member, or two thousand hours of supervised behaviour analytic experience.

ABA Tutor / Behaviour Technician

This membership level is for ABA tutors or others providing behaviour analytic services who have not completed either a bachelor’s degree or an MSc in ABA but are actively providing ABA supports under the supervision of a Behaviour Analyst or Behaviour Analyst Doctoral Level.  Applicants under this membership will be asked to name their supervisor.

Student Membership

This membership level is for students of verified course sequence (VCS), who are normally resident in the Republic of Ireland or Northern Ireland.  This membership level is for those who can demonstrate that they are currently enrolled in a VCS.
